As our full-time Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for a handful of equipment deliveries each day, ensuring proper paperwork is provided to our customers while maintaining a high level of customer service and pride in your work. Working Conditions: The Class 1 Driver reports to Operations, Surrey and works 40 hours on average per week Monday to Friday. Some overtime maybe required from time to time.
As our full-time Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for a handful of equipment deliveries each day, ensuring proper paperwork is provided to our customers while maintaining a high level of customer service and pride in your work. Key Responsibilities:
- Locally transport new, used and rental equipment throughout the Lower Mainland.
- Safely and reliably operate a low bed and flat deck trailer.
- Load material handling and compact construction equipment in a safe manner, ensuring equipment is properly secured.
- Drive material handling and compact construction equipment.
- Perform all pre and post trip inspections.
- Ensure all paperwork for equipment is filled out properly prior to delivery at the customer site.
- Follow all company guidelines and provincial laws.
- Works closely with Operations team to efficiently carry out responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to handle physical labour, including bending, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 50lbs.
- Ability to safely operate compact construction and material handling equipment is an asset.
- Superb customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work in the elements year-round.
Training, Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
- High school diploma.
- Must possess a Class 1 Drivers’ license and a clean driving record.
Compensation package:
- Wage between $32 to $36 per hour based on skills and qualifications.
